Planetary Embassy — São Paulo
25 September - 1 October
Avenida Paulista, São Paulo

My work Mimicry nº 1 was part of Planetary Embassy, a large-scale outdoor exhibition along Avenida Paulista, one of São Paulo's main avenues. It marks a new chapter for Swissnex in Brazil, with a strong focus on nature. The show starts from one question: if keeping Earth habitable is one of the great challenges of our time, how can we create new ways of dialogue and coexistence with the beings and processes that shape the planet? Under the patronage of Swiss-Brazilian photographer Claudia Andujar, seven artists from Switzerland and Brazil invite passers-by to rethink our relationship with other forms of life. Mimicry is about water freezing and becoming fluid again: still-life landscapes that are conserved, then slowly melt back into life.

Presented by Swissnex in Brazil, with the support of Presence Switzerland.
